Scrum training

Scrum is a popular Agile methodology from Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland, it is supported by its own Scrum Alliance. At heart Scrum is a Project Management method and is often combined with other Agile techniques – such as those found in Kent Beck’s Extreme Programming.

Over the last few years Scrum has experienced considerable success with organizations such as the BBC and Yahoo.

At London Software Partners
our focus is on helping the whole team adopt and use one method. We see the key to Scrum, or any other Agile method, as a shared understanding of how the team is working. Team members need to understand what they need to do in their role, and what they can expect to from other people in other roles.

Thus, we at
London Software Partners offer whole team training in Scrum. This starts with our Introduction to Scrum course. We then supplement this with team coaching, individual coaching and training in specific techniques such as test-driven development or refactoring.

Team based training also allows the team to tailor the method to their needs. Such tailoring naturally occurs as part of the training process and involves the whole team.

One consequence of this is that we do not ourselves offer Scrum Master or Scrum Product Owner certification. Such training and certification is useful to individuals working in a Scrum environment so we partners with appropriate, certified, trainers to deliver this training. Specialist training and certification is a useful addition to our team based approach.

We offer the following courses for Scrum:

In addition our
Managing Agile Teams course is appropriate for managers of Scrum teams and we can arrange certified Scrum Master and Product Owner training.
